Week of February 13
Coming up this week, we will talk to teachers and education advocates from Germany, the US and Chile, just to name a few. Jutta Schneider and Kelli Etheredge are teachers who are making a difference in their classrooms, schools and communities through innovative and collaborative projects.
Michael Furdyk, a former wunderkind who, at 14, founded his own technology company, will tell us more about his current passion, TakingITGlobal. TIG, as it is known, is billed as “the largest online community of youth interested in global issues and creating positive change.” Maybe your students have been involved?
And we’ll catch up with Chile’s Miguel Nussbaum, who has developed effective options to ensure all students, even in the poorest schools, have access to 21st century learning. He has led the program “One Mouse per Child” which brings one-to-one computing into classrooms around the world.
Keep your comments and suggestions coming. Do you know an extraordinary educator who should be profiled here?
